Frames/Ink represents over 20 years of professional conservation framing. Helping to preserve memories, Frames/Ink is operated by husband and wife artists Ken Levine and Janet Palin. They use their design and color experience to help customers frame their memories and heirlooms beautifully.
Janet earned her BFA in painting at the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a professional painter in oils and pastels. She shows and sells her work in New England and New Mexico. Her teaching has ranged from young children to college workshops. She has been a picture framer since 1993 and enjoys helping customers find the right framing solution for them and their art work. Ken graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography, taught Art in elementary schools, community colleges (calligraphy,kite design, puppetry and experimental filmaking)and at the local craft center. He is a lettering artist, sculptor and illustrator. Ken has exhibited at local venues, showcasing his creative abilities in 2 and 3 dimensional art. Shadowboxes are a specialty, each one telling a story or creating a miniature world from his imagination. Calligraphy for all occasions are frequently requested. These include: Wedding Guest Witness Certificates, seating charts and name cards, envelopes and invitations, birth announcements and proclamations for special occasions, gold leaf and illuminations upon request. He started his custom framing business with his wife Janet over 20 years ago, building a loyal following of customers looking for professional framing and design with a creative flair.
